> In the Mai Ndombe region of the Democratic Republic of Congo, an NGO called M’bou Mon Tour (MMT) was founded in 1997. It brings together a group of local communities who work to protect the forests and savannahs that are home to bonobos and other small primates, and who carry out development activities that respect nature. The ultimate goal is to reduce malnutrition, poverty and ignorance by building on a rich and unique local heritage.
